YKIP as an organization which provides education support is trying to complete the services to the students by providing a youth career planning program. The program aims to equip YKIP’s Senior High School sponsored students with knowledge and skills that will help them determine their future plans once they graduate high school.

This event encompasses a series of activities as follows:

  • Presentation and discussion about profession, in which we hope the students will have the opportunity to broaden their knowledge about several profession choices (Grade 11 & 12);
  • Sessions of soft skill development where the students can learn how to make a good resume and application letter, including tips on how to prepare themselves for a job interview (Grade 12);
  • Information on higher education scholarship (Grade 12);
  • Motivation building and critical thinking exercises for each workshop session (Grade 11).

This year, there are 184 students consisting of 10 sponsored KIDS children and 174 sponsored KEMBALI students of Grade 11 and 12 in the current 2014/2015 Academic Year. By providing the opportunity for these future high school graduates, we expect that they will improve their knowledge and soft skills, which would be useful when making their plans and preparing themselves for employment opportunities.

The workshop will take place on December 13th – 14th, 2014 at Balai Budaya Gianyar, Bali. Each grade level will participate in a one day workshop session. The workshop will be facilitated by YKIP project team with the volunteers support and other network partners.
