PAINTING PROJECT WITH INSPIRASIA FOUNDATION
The Inspirasia Foundation, one of YKIP’s supporters recently has successfully held the opening of their new building, The Annika Linden Centre on October 13, 2012. The opening of The Annika Linden Centre marks a new beginning for Inspirasia Foundation, the new beginning after the 10 years memorial to Annika Linden’s life. The Centre itself is meant not only to represent the lasting memorial of Annika’s spirit on the island of Bali through its support and services for the disadvantaged in Bali, but also the hearts and dreams of those people who have been helped for these last 10 years and to create the reflection of these, the Inspirasia Foundation would like to create an art light fixture in their centre lobby made from 150 pieces of canvas covered wood which will be hung down from the ceiling.
The internationally acclaimed artist, I Made Wianta, has generously offered his studio to work on this painting project. Our KEMBALI and KIDS children have been honored to be part of this project. In 4 days, along with other beneficiaries from other Inspirasia Foundation’s partners, our children came in groups interchangeably from 4 different regencies to Wianta’s studio. They were having a lot of fun by making their painting from sketches to splattering their paintings with metallic paints, expressing their positive thoughts and visual messages into their canvases.
Thank you, Inspirasia Foundation for letting these children becoming part of your centre, becoming the heart which inspires the forthcoming future of your foundation.
A special thank you to Lauren Livingston who has helped us capture the moment with her camera.
