30 Januari 2026

From a young student with a love for design to a university graduate with honours, Wirat’s journey is a story of dedication and perseverance. One of the students in the KIDS Scholarship program, Wiratmaja, fondly known as Wirat, successfully graduated from university in November 2025. He studied Visual Communication Design at Institut Design dan Bisnis (IDB) Bali. After four years of learning and intense training, his hard work finally paid off. He graduated with honours, achieving a GPA of 3.75 out of 4.

Choosing Visual Arts

Wirat’s passion for drawing and design began during his senior high school years. After completing his studies at SMKN 1 Denpasar, Wirat decided to pursue a degree in Visual Communication Design. He later enrolled at IDB Bali, the same institution his sister attended.

Wirat began his university journey during the COVID-19 pandemic, spending his first year and a half studying online. Learning from home was challenging, but once the restrictions were relaxed, he was able to continue his studies on campus with his classmates. Although he faced a demanding academic environment, Wirat maintained a GPA of 3.0 or higher every semester.

As part of his degree requirements, Wirat completed a 6-month mandatory apprenticeship at a gaming company in Jakarta, working remotely from his home in Denpasar. His primary responsibilities included designing posters and creating social media content for the company. During gaming competitions, Wirat became especially busy supporting the team’s design needs. Throughout this period, Wirat balanced his professional duties with campus visits to prepare reports and work on his final project.

After completing the apprenticeship, Wirat returned to campus to focus on his final project. Following months of dedicated effort, he passed his final exam with satisfactory results. Shortly after graduating, he secured a full-time position. In addition to his main job, he also takes on freelance projects to further develop his skills and experience.

YKIP is incredibly proud of Wirat and all that he has achieved. We wish him continued success as he builds his future career.
