In today’s world, knowledge is power, and informed choices shape our futures. This is why a recent reproductive health workshop for YKIP-sponsored students in Tejakula was among our most important events this year. Held at SDN 5 Les, this initiative aimed to educate and empower young people with essential knowledge and skills, enabling them to confidently navigate their reproductive health journey.
In collaboration with KISARA PKBI Bali (https://kisara.or.id/), YKIP hosted a workshop that brought together passionate educators and peer mentors dedicated to breaking down barriers and fostering open dialogue about reproductive health topics.
The sessions explored a wide range of topics, from puberty, and anatomy, providing comprehensive, age-appropriate information tailored to the needs of diverse participants. Participants engaged eagerly in interactive discussions and hands-on activities designed to dispel myths and promote accurate understanding and encourage respectful communication.
Beyond education, the workshop also addressed the importance of accessing healthcare services and resources. Information on local clinics, confidential counselling options, and support networks was readily available, ensuring participants knew where to turn for additional guidance and assistance.
The workshop empowered participants to leave with more than just notes and gifts. They departed armed with knowledge, ready to make informed choices for positive change in their lives and communities.
Today, we invest in the reproductive health literacy of young people, sowing the seeds of a healthier future, stronger relationships, and a more informed society tomorrow.
