As the academic year begins, YKIP proudly kicked off with a comprehensive online induction for our new students in the Vocational and University Programs. This event, held on Saturday, August 3rd, 2024, marked a significant milestone for our scholars, setting the stage for a successful year ahead.

Conducted entirely online via Microsoft Teams, the two-hour induction served as an essential introduction to YKIP’s educational offerings and the responsibilities associated with being a scholarship recipient. The aim of this induction program is to familiarize the scholarship recipients with the vocational scholarship program. As the students came from various places in our program area, we took this opportunity to get them to know each other and expand their networking.

What we covered:

1.Session Overview: The induction began with a quick rundown of the day’s agenda, ensuring all participants were aware of what to expect.

2.Meet the Team and Peers: New students had the opportunity to meet the YKIP team and connect with their fellow scholarship recipients. With this session, we hope to build a good rapport between the students and YKIP staff.

3.About YKIP and Our Scholarships: We provide detailed information about YKIP’s mission, values, and the details of our scholarship programs, which are crucial for understanding the support and resources available to students. They also learned in depth about the Vocational scholarship they received from YKIP, including their rights and responsibilities as recipients. With a better understanding of the scholarship, we hope that the program will run smoothly.

4.Interactive Q&A Session: The event concluded with a lively Q&A session, allowing students to ask questions and receive immediate feedback.

The online induction was a resounding success, setting a positive tone for the year. We were thrilled to see the enthusiastic participation of our 18 new scholars and look forward to their accomplishments.
